Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (approx. 7 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sal t
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure a better sear.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and apply the spice rub evenly on all sides.
  • Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, flipping the chicken at the 5-minute mark.
  • Brush the barbecue sauce generously over both sides of the chicken.
  • Cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
