Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
Lay one tortilla flat and spread half the cheese and all the shredded chicken across the surface, leaving a 0.5-inch margin at the edge.
Top with the remaining cheese and the second tortilla.
Brush the top tortilla lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with chili powder.
Place the quesadilla in the air fryer basket, using a metal rack or wooden toothpick to secure the top tortilla against the air flow.
Cook for 4 minutes, then carefully flip the quesadilla using a spatula.
Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
Remove from the air fryer and allow to rest for 60 seconds before slicing into four wedges.
