Ingredients

  • 1 lb skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the salmon cubes thoroughly dry using paper towels to optimize the Maillard reaction.
  • Place the salmon cubes in a mixing bowl and toss with olive oil until evenly coated.
  • In a separate small vessel, whisk together the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Sprinkle the dry rub over the salmon and toss until the seasoning is distributed uniformly across all surfaces.
  • Arrange the salmon cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring at least 0.5 inches of space between pieces for airflow.
  • Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket gently at the 4-minute mark.
  • Remove once the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the surfaces are golden brown.
