Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread

  • 0.5 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Fine sea salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp using a toaster or grill pan.
  • In a small bowl, scoop out the avocado flesh and mash with lemon juice, salt, and pepper until slightly chunky.
  • Spread the avocado mixture evenly across the toasted bread slices.
