Banana Pudding Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 6 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana cream pudding mix
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried banana chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x9 inch square baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the mini marshmallows to the saucepan and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the dry instant banana pudding mix and vanilla extract until the powder is fully incorporated and the mixture is uniform.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the puffed rice cereal, stirring until every grain is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Gently fold in the crushed vanilla wafers and dried banana chips until distributed throughout the mass.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and press down evenly using a greased spatula, ensuring not to over-compress the cereal.
  • Allow the treats to cool and set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes before slicing into 12 uniform bars.
