Cheddar & Onion Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp sal t
  • 1 cup pecans , finely chopped and toasted

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Incorporate the shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Place a large piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface and spoon the cheese mixture onto the center.
  • Gather the corners of the plastic wrap and twist to form the mixture into a compact sphere.
  • Refrigerate the wrapped cheese ball for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the structure to firm.
  • Spread the chopped pecans on a shallow plate or tray.
  • Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator, unwrap, and roll in the pecans until the exterior is fully coated.
  • Transfer to a serving plate and let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving with crackers or vegetables.
