Chicken Alfredo Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles , cooked
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg , lightly beaten
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon sal t
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Prepare Alfredo sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat and sautéing garlic for 60 seconds.
  • Whisk in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese; simmer until sauce thickens.
  • In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and fresh parsley.
  • Spread 0.5 cup of Alfredo sauce across the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Place a layer of noodles over the sauce, followed by a portion of the ricotta mixture, shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat layering process until ingredients are exhausted, finishing with a layer of mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Allow the dish to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing to ensure structural integrity.
