Chocolate Chip Almond Flour Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas , mashed
  • 3 large eggs , room temperature
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups blanched almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup semi -sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a uniform batter forms.
  • Fold in approximately 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips into the batter.
  • Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
