Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until a uniform batter forms.
Fold in approximately 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips into the batter.
Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter.
Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
