Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Submerge cubed potatoes in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess surface starch, then drain and pat thoroughly dry with a lint-free towel.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried potato cubes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; toss until evenly coated.
  • Distribute the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure optimal convection airflow.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, then remove the basket and shake vigorously to rotate the cubes.
  • Continue cooking for an additional 8 to 10 minutes until the exterior achieves a crisp, golden-brown texture and the interior is tender.
  • Serve immediately to maintain structural integrity and heat.
