Crispy Air Fryer Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 2 large pita breads
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice each pita bread into 8 equal triangles using a knife or kitchen shears.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  • Add the pita triangles to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the oil mixture.
  • Arrange the pita triangles in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  • Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the chips are golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes to reach maximum crispness.
