  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken pieces thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken pieces and olive oil to the spice mixture and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the chicken bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring pieces do not overlap to allow proper airflow.
  • Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket at the 7-minute mark to promote even browning.
  • Verify the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C) using an instant-read thermometer.
  • Remove from the air fryer and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
