Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg , beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the ingredients by hand until just combined, taking care not to over-compress the meat which can cause toughness.
  • Form the mixture into balls approximately 1 inch in diameter, yielding roughly 16 to 20 meatballs.
  • Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a thin layer of oil.
  • Place the meatballs in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch to allow for optimal airflow.
  • Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket gently at the 6-minute mark to ensure even browning.
  • Confirm the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C) using an instant-read thermometer before serving.
