Ingredients

  • 200 g chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 medium carrot , julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 3 green onions , cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  • Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  • Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add cabbage and carrots to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
  • Incorporate the cooked noodles and the prepared sauce mixture.
  • Toss vigorously for 2 minutes until the noodles are evenly coated and caramelized.
  • Add green onions, toss once more, and remove from heat.
