  • 8 slices brioche bread
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 2 large egg s
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto four slices of brioche bread.
  • Place sliced strawberries over the cream cheese and top with the remaining bread slices to create four sandwiches.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together until well combined.
  • In a separate shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Carefully dip each sandwich into the egg and milk mixture, ensuring both sides are coated but not oversaturated.
  • Fry the sandwiches in the hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the oil using a slotted spatula and immediately coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Serve immediately while warm.
