Garlic Butter Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sal t
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and sear undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  • Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the salmon is nearly cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  • Cook for 1 minute while continuously spooning the melting garlic butter over the salmon.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and parsley, then remove from heat immediately.
  • Serve the salmon with the pan sauce drizzled over the top.
