Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted grass-fed butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup arrowroot powder, sifted
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  • Place the softened grass-fed butter in the bowl of a stand mixer equipped with a whisk attachment.
  • Whip the butter on medium-high speed for 5 minutes until it becomes light, airy, and pale in color.
  • Set the mixer to its lowest speed setting and slowly drizzle in the chilled maple syrup and vanilla extract in a steady stream.
  • Gradually add the sifted arrowroot powder and sea salt while continuing to mix on low speed to incorporate.
  • Increase the mixer speed to high and whip for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the frosting reaches a stiff, pipeable consistency.
