High Protein Lazy Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 93% lean ground turkey
  • 24 oz high -protein frozen cheese ravioli
  • 24 oz low -sodium marinara sauce
  • 2 cups low -fat cottage cheese
  • 1 large eg g
  • 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground turkey until fully cooked, breaking it into small crumbles.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir the marinara sauce into the cooked turkey and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; whisk until smooth.
  • Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  • Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly over the ravioli layer.
  • Layer the remaining ravioli on top, followed by the remaining meat sauce.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheeses evenly over the top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving to set the layers.
