High-Protein Pizza Bagel Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self -rising flour
  • 1 cup non -fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup low -sodium pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 20 slices mini turkey pepperoni
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, and garlic powder until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 1 minute until smooth and no longer sticky.
  • Divide the dough into 10 small balls and flatten slightly into mini bagel shapes or discs.
  • Place dough discs on the prepared baking sheet and par-bake for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and spread approximately 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each disc.
  • Evenly distribute shredded mozzarella cheese and 2 turkey pepperoni slices over each disc.
  • Return to the oven and bake for 7-8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  • Sprinkle with dried oregano and serve two bites per portion.
