Ingredients

  • 8 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup pecans , toasted and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, salt, and black pepper until the texture is uniform and smooth.
  • Portion the cheese mixture into approximately 1-tablespoon amounts and roll between palms to form uniform spheres.
  • Place the spheres on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to ensure structural integrity for coating.
  • In a shallow vessel, whisk together the chopped cranberries, chopped pecans, and minced chives until evenly distributed.
  • Remove cheese balls from refrigeration and roll each individual sphere in the cranberry-nut mixture, applying light pressure to ensure full surface coverage.
  • Arrange the coated cheese balls on a chilled serving platter and drizzle with hot honey immediately prior to service.
