Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is uniform.
Add the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, stirring until no dry clumps remain.
Fold in half of the chocolate chips into the batter.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with few moist crumbs.
Remove from oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes to allow the structure to firm up.
