Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 lemon , cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Pat the shrimp thoroughly dry with paper towels to remove surface moisture and ensure proper searing.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano; toss until the shrimp are uniformly coated.
  • Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single, non-overlapping layer to allow maximum airflow.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking cycle.
  • Verify the shrimp are opaque and have curled into a 'C' shape; do not allow them to curl into a tight 'O' as this indicates overcooking.
  • Transfer immediately to a serving platter and serve with lemon wedges.
