Mediterranean Olive Oil Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic , finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  • Place the minced garlic and finely chopped parsley in a shallow serving dish.
  • Add the dried oregano, dried basil, crushed red pepper flakes, sea salt, and black pepper to the dish.
  • Pour the extra virgin olive oil over the dry ingredients.
  • Carefully drizzle the balsamic vinegar into the center of the oil mixture.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the surface.
  • Allow the dip to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes to facilitate the infusion of flavors into the oil.
  • Serve immediately with slices of warm, crusty bread.
