Place the hulled strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
Muddle the strawberries thoroughly until crushed and juiced.
Add the vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for approximately 15 seconds until well-chilled.
Double strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with fresh ice to remove pulp and seeds.
Top the glass with club soda and stir gently.
Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve immediately.
