White Pizza with Beef Prosciutto and Hot Honey

Ingredients

  • 250 g fermented pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic , finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 ounces beef prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 -5 fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven with a pizza stone or steel to 500 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 45 minutes.
  • Stretch the pizza dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch diameter.
  • Brush the dough surface with extra virgin olive oil and spread minced garlic evenly to the edges.
  • Distribute the mozzarella cheese across the base and add small dollops of ricotta cheese every two inches.
  • Transfer the dough to the preheated stone and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the crust is charred and cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately drape the beef prosciutto slices over the hot surface.
  • Drizzle the entire pizza with hot honey and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve immediately.
