Ingredients

  • 16 ounces penne pasta
  • 24 ounces frozen precooked meatballs, thawed
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until 2 minutes shy of al dente, then drain.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the par-cooked pasta, meatballs, marinara sauce, minced garlic, and dried oregano.
  • Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
  • Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil before resting for 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
